Christian Screenwrite Rules
Mail-in Submissions
- No applicant may have earned money or other
consideration as a screenwriter for theatrical films or television, or
for the sale of, or sale of an option to, any original story,
treatment, screenplay or teleplay for more than $1,000. When entering
by mail, applicants must submit:
- Two copies of the completed application form. A
self-addressed stamped postcard if you would like to receive
confirmation that your entry has been received and a self-addressed
stamped envelope. One copy of an original feature film screenplay,
approximately 100- 130 pages in length. Submissions must be written in
English.
- An appropriate entry fee must accompany the
application. Entry fees will not be returned. Mail completed
application and script to Christian Screenwrite, 90 Underwood Street,
Newark, NJ 07106
- Submissions must be the original work of the
applicant and may not be based, in whole or in part, on any other
fictional or non-fictional material, published or unpublished, produced
or unproduced. Entries may, however, be adapted from the applicant's
original work, which should be noted on the application form. If the
script is based on a true story, please note that on the title page.
Collaborative work is not eligible. The title of the screenplay should
appear on the first page of the submission. Please do not include any
other identifying information on the submitted script. Submissions for
the 2010 Christian Screenwrite contest must be postmarked no later than
September 30, 2010. We regret that we cannot accept FEDEX submissions.
However, U.S. Postal Express Mail will be accepted. Submitted scripts
will not be returned. Corrected pages or new drafts of the entered
screenplay will not be accepted.
- Scripts should be enclosed in two white card stock
covers. In addition, please bind all submissions with two or three
industry standard metal fasteners.
